Curation
Selected projects since 2010
From 2008 to 2022 I was the Visual Arts Manager for the Isle of Wight’s leading arts centre, Quay Arts. This is where I was able to cut my teeth and develop my curatorial work in collaboration, research and multidisciplinary approaches. From concept and physical installation to evaluation, I managed and curated a varied and engaging programme of contemporary visual arts. I worked with local, regional, and international artists, touring collections, heritage and archives, schools, volunteers, and community groups. This demanding and fast-paced role allowed me to work with numerous artists and arts organisations, producing work in galleries and unusual offsite spaces. Here I developed an eye for composition, movement between spaces and sharing the vision from diverse artists on how they wanted the public to engage with their work.
