2021 – Creative Biosphere

I was commissioned by the Island Collection to co-write & design an ACE Project Grant on behalf of the IW Cultural Education Partnership to support an Island-wide cultural programme ‘The Creative Biosphere’ in collaboration with the IW Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (now known as National Landscapes), to embed five artists within five IW secondary schools to create public artwork, build awareness of the IW Biosphere status and support cultural activities in Sept 2021 – Sept 2022.

The schools, organisations and artists involved were; the Island Free School in partnership with Ventnor Exchange working with artist, Teresa Grimaldi; Isle of Wight Education Federation worked with Independent Arts and artist Trudie Wilson; Cowes Enterprise College partnered with Quay Arts to work with artist Liz Cooke; Ryde Academy worked with New Carnival Company and artist Jenna Sabine, and Brading Roman Villa also participated in this exciting project which culminated in a young people ‘takeover’ day in November 2022 across all participating organisations with students from The Bay CE School.
