2023 – Be More Green Festival

I co-curated and organised this free event on 28th May at Moorgreen Road Reservoir Park in Cowes, IW, made possible through Cowes Town Council funding. It supported and promoted the Cowes Place Plan, IW Biosphere principles and drew attention to Moorgreen Reservoir – an underused green space in residential Cowes.
Its aim was to engage with local communities in how it can be better utilised. This community event highlighted green issues, local sustainability and promoted the IW Biosphere status through a series of creative engagement activities run by artists.
I curated 10 artists and wildlife experts to deliver activities including a mini-BioBlitz, live music in the woodland, museum of nature, bug-hoovering, public art consultation and kids crafts activities. The consortium included myself, Market Days, Moorgreen Allotments, Mulberry Tree Wood Turnery, Common Space, Green Island Veg Economy and Cowes Baptist Church. The event extended to the surrounding allotments, woodland, Baptist Church and saw over 500 visitors throughout the day.
